Cleaning Your Coffee Maker

I cleaned my coffee maker last night and I thought I should share the process with those who may not know it!

Cleaning your coffee maker is the key way to keep your coffee pot from gathering stains as well as internal impurities. Cleaning it once a month is ideal.

Step 1: Make a mixture of 1 part vinegar and 2 parts cold water. You want to make sure you fill the entire pot.

Step 2: Put in a filter.

Step 3: Start the coffee maker and let it run all the way through. After it is done, shut it off and let it cool for 10-15 minutes.

Step 4: Remove the filter and pour out the mixture.

Step 5: Fill the entire pot with water and repeat the process. You want to remove any trace of vinegar.

[Note: if this is the first time you have ever washed it, you may want to repeat steps 1 - 4 to grantee a through cleaning!]
